I'm DeAndre Daniels, a self-taught chef in Dallas with deep Louisiana roots and a serious love of flavor.
I never trained in a fancy kitchen. I learned to cook because I fell for the craft, and because nothing beats watching someone take a bite and light up. That feeling, the joy good food brings people, is still the whole reason I do this.
I'm Cajun, raised on Louisiana cooking where flavor is never an afterthought. I'm also a military brat who served six years in the Army, so showing up and getting it right is just how I'm built. Even now, whenever I'm missing home, I get in the kitchen and make a pot of gumbo or red beans and rice, and I feel right at home again. That feeling is what I'm after every time I cook for someone: food that tastes like home.
These days my heart is in desserts. Cheesecake, pound cake, cobbler, and just about everything in between, made by hand in small batches for the people and moments that matter to you.
Dessert table for a celebration, brunch for a slow weekend, or catering for your event: my goal is simple. Food that tastes like home and leaves the people around your table feeling happy and loved.
Cajun roots. Made by hand. Served with love.
